On July 31st I saw a cougar on in the middle of Berkshire Ave in Southwick, near Middle Pond. He was crossing between two yards and was golden/orange in color. On the corner there have been (former)goats and chickens. He had a long tail that touched the ground and a prominent head.
I have also seen what I thought was a cougar a year earlier on North Pond in Southwick in my yard. I happened to see postings in Masslive relating a sighting in Agawam in front of Sutton Place posted on July 28th. There was another reference to a large coyote seen on August 5th on Route 57.
