By the way, this picture was taken on private land where a citizen has seen and credibly reported cougars since the 1970's. They were of course dismissed. He has been unable to find footprints or other evidence, but he and others nearby have seen cats there over the years. This is a good example of what is likely happening here in Southern New England.
