Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster

She didn’t understand why she was allowing him to stay around her this long. Usually she would run from a stranger, not trusting them to be anywhere near her. Yet nothing in him screamed like he was going to attack her. This was all just peculiar. Usually when she tried to keep to herself she would just attack any that approached her, simply so they would leave her alone. She was familiar with being followed, loners follow one another when they want to steal something from the other. Those were the ones that had to be attacked on the spot. Kill or be killed. Having Amutaq following, at her side, made her feel uncomfortable. Although he was keeping a fair distance away from her, she couldn’t help but feel as if she was supposed to turn around and bite his muzzle off. As her claws scraped the rocky terrain below her ebony tail, trimmed with grey, would smack his muzzle unaware with just how close he was as they climbed the rocky terrain. She didn’t meant to smack his face, but she did climb a little bit faster unconcerned with the small rocks she accidently knocked loose tumbling down.

As they reached the top her half torn ear twitched when she heard him speak. A loud snap could be heard when she would whip her head around. Cold indigo eyes narrowed as he let out a rough snort. Cheeky little bastard. One lip turned upwards, showing a row of teeth as she shook her head ignoring the grin he was giving her. She didn’t know if he was truly joking around or not. She closed her eyes for a brief moment, remembering one of her earliest memories of her folks. She hardly ever thought of them, but his teasing about tearing his ear off was the perfect nudge to get her trip down memory lane. She remembered hearing the low growl from her parents wanting her to come to them, before they made her leave, she could feel her Father’s cold touch as he nuzzled the back of her neck. Suddenly the sharp prick of his teeth sinking in causing her to fall to the ground feeling his teeth travel upwards to her right ear and clamping down tugging it. Shaking her head, her eyes reopened as she sat down, curling her tail over her paws as she muttered darkly, her eyes avoiding his direction.

“I won’t bite that hard…not my fault Father ripped my ear off.”

As he circled around she had a dark thought creeping in the back of her mind. Push him. Shove him down and he would both be scraped and bruised up, or worse, dead. Yes. That was how she would get rid of him. He had welcomed his stay for far too long and now it was time, but she would wait. Her shoulders hunched forward as she lowered her neck some, listening as prattled on with his observations and opinions. Again her tail twitched in agitation as he let out a soft gruff growl.

“Maybe I want to come across that way to throw you off.”

She would tilt her massive head to the side as he began to speak about the lands. Finally, something she needed to learn. As she listened she noticed how his goofy demeanor changed into a sadden one. The meteor must have really been that bad, but because the moon was not out she could not see the remains of the damage. She looked down from the ledge, seeing the valley below. She couldn’t imagine this place being claimed lands before, but if that was the case it must have not been that bad place to live. By far this was one of her favorite hunting grounds, she much preferred the rocks to that blasted swamp. She was unfamiliar with out to react to his sudden change of behavior and so, she decided instead of making herself look like a fool she would remain cold and indifferent.

“The place looks well after being hit by a meteor. As for your old pack. If there is one thing you are promised in this life it is that you will die…”

No it was not comforting. She didn’t really know what one was supposed to say when someone was mentioning bad things, like death. In fact no one ever really spoke to her about losing someone. She killed in the past and she would continue on killing, if she had to. It was what she was supposed to do. Go throughout life without being killed. That was the entire point of life right? At least that is what she understood, but he wasn’t acting indifferent about it. He was feeling…regret? She didn’t like this feeling, whatever it was, it was creeping from her stomach and to her chest. Shaking her head she got up and moved away from him, thinking this would cause whatever that strange feeling that she was experiencing to disappear when she left his presence. Her ears pricked forward as an idea popped in her head. He wouldn’t be feeling sad anymore if they cuddled, and she wouldn’t be feeling whatever she was right now, AND she could prove she wouldn’t rip his ear off. Kill three birds with one stone! Quietly she circled around heading towards him, her cold lyrics carrying a tone of curiosity.

“So, any aftermath or changes happen that took place after the meteor hit? Fires and famine? “

Carefully she crept up behind him. Her claws barely scraping the ground below. Her sleek ebony form made the perfect camouflage within the darkness tonight, keeping away from his peripheral vision, thankful that her grey markings weren’t that bright tonight. Apparently the moon loved making the grey markings shine brighter than normal…lucky for her that great big orb in the sky couldn’t be seen. Her jaw would lower as her sharp ivories were exposed reaching close enough she paused and tested the air, her entire frame poised. Tense and at the ready she felt that the time was right…to strike. Suddenly her agile form leapt forward her paws landing between his shoulders as her teeth clung to the back of his neck, not biting hard to dark blood, but enough to deliver a sharp amount of pain. As quickly as she attacked him, she leapt away and quickly circled around. She was trying to give him a lopsided grin, but it looked like a devilish smirk. Her chest was puffed out with pride as her tail swayed side to side. Her voice held a genuine happy tone…she cuddled and she did it perfectly!

“There…I cuddled without ripping your ear off, like he did to me!”

Clearly the anti-social girl didn’t know what ‘cuddling’ truly was.
