Peace isn’t a permanent state. It exists in moments

ONLY DEATH AND LOVE CHANGE ALL THINGS

His words were icy and fueled by jealously

It was a side of him that Sylvia hadn’t truly gotten to experience before his left. He had saved it for the spotted mare Aria who left around the same time he had. Our pale girl never stopped to wonder if Midas left to follow her or if she had followed him. They together brought Jealously within herself and because of this Sylvia avoided the thoughts. The emotions that came along were negative and disturbed her soft spoken nature.

Sylvia understood how Aria must have felt

When Midas moved away from her she did not follow him even though everything screamed at her to do so. Desperately she wanted to tug him back to her side and paste him there for a while longer. She was struggling with the reality that this conversation was even happening and so her need for him was unbearable. If he was this passionate with Aria she would forever be envious even more so of the quiet splashed mare.
Shifting to stretch her legs out in front of her Sylvia sighed heavily as she stood and kept quiet soaking in his words about smelling like she hadn’t been alone. They felt like a slap in the face causing her to completely forget about how he didn’t feel like he deserved her. Her heart felt like it was going to burst from her chest as she turned to face him noticing how all the while he hadn’t looked at her in the eye and kept his gaze down even when she felt his skin on hers that sent shivers to her spine before he spoke.

Some things were better left unsaid

Unfortunately Sylvia knew she wasn’t emotionally under control enough to have that exact filter kick on.”I could say the same to you” now her anger was boiling up. ”I’ve been living with a man because I had no-where else to go. I barely know his name and never once have we came in physical contact” in fact the closest thing she had in any sort of physical contact was with their daughter and her spotted friend who lived next door when they bumped noses.

The ridge was very cold and it made her shiver

Her glazed over eyes stared in disbelief at Midas for a moment as her knowledge that this wasn’t a dream and he was here with her right now- in actual life. Her fantasies of him coming back were finally over and her hurting finally after so many years stopped. Her anger subsided and her tone wasn’t as high as it was previously. Now Sylvia just stared at him astonished. In a way she expected this and knew it was because he was afraid she had moved on. Sylvia of course could not even actually do that and if he had stuck around he would know that.

Deep down Sylvia figured that Midas really did know that thought.

And he was just making a passing comment in fear that just maybe he was wrong and she had found someone else.”I searched for you until I couldn’t stand to walk anymore because I was too weak in every single way” Sylvia’s voice crumbled ”I drove myself insane with worry and needed to rest. The kind hearted man allowed me to just gather my strength and once I did I left again and here I am now..” she lifted her head feeling the wind against her cold skin ”where the hell where you! You left without saying goodbye” now shifted her weight unsure if she should step forward or back ”I needed you to love me as much as I love you”

Midas’s actions answer Sylvia’s curiosity loud and clear
