This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time

Mera closed her eyes, pushing her nose up into the air as Şahin blew his warm breath against her forelock. A smile graced those ebony lips as she dropped her face back down, eyes opening to look at the stallion the way any young girl would a father. Mera was glad that her company had been approved and quickly turned her eyes to the new woman without any sort of jealousy. Only curiosity colored her gaze now as Şahin spoke fondly of the mare, of the history they shared. But this was the first time she had ever heard of the Lagoon and the question nearly slipped off of her tongue of where such a place existed. But the question would be for later as right now was meant for making friends and new memories.

“Pleasure, Dia” Mera was all but manners, dipping her head slightly in full respect of the older mare. She had seemed friendly enough in her greeting though the accent had not missed the light colored filly. Mera wanted her to speak again, to listen to the strange words that escaped her lips and it was only then that the girl realized she was staring intently at the woman’s mouth, ears forward intently. With a swish of her dark tail that brushed against her hocks, she gave a quick glance at Şahin just for something else to look at and not seem rude.

The earlier restlessness had not left the girl at peace and though it had only been moments since her light canter to this little meeting, Mera shifted her weight unconsciously. The girl would never know what caused the feeling, but someday it would set her adrift hoping that one day she would find an anchor.
