Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Winter arrived, like the frightening grasp from the mighty giant it took hold of their world and shook from it the remnants of weakness leaving only the strong willed to thrive. Patches slick with ice and slight mounds of snow addled the landscape from there to the way she chose to take this day, away from the gathering, away from much of conversation if only to ponder on her own. At home and apart of a pack it seemed almost too odd to be far from her lands when her arrival there was so new, and yet, wandering simply seemed ideal. Beneficial even, if only to find new faces and assure herself of others beyond the borders.

Trying her paths she chose a high curve and followed the back bank with ease, her coat glossy in the sunlight but thick and slightly dulled in comparison to her summer wear. Tri colored and alight with each distinct hue, the reds and blacks were in stark contrast to the white of her lower half though further emphasized her muzzle and the bright lightness of her eyes. Today they appeared slightly tinged in pink, the edges sobered as a coming storm and the center rich blue opal it always was. She wasn't quite as focused as normal though the nimble little thing she was she simply admonished the thought of others doing her harm, she was far too swift to be caught in her mind and given that she belonged somewhere, well, she had backing now. This was a rather naive notion, only to prove further she still had much to relearn.

She came upon the blood first, small patches here and there leading to a body, not much of one now and nearly completely indiscernible as anything more than a carcass. She knew these well enough to recognize the leftovers however and found herself a might impressed, shifting gears to follow the trail that led away from it. Truth be told she should have been a wiser girl then, for what humble creation would lead away the bitter remnants of death in their wake? Something sinister no doubt but she was a wolf as well, here and there she was also the creator of such marks before. Trailing upward and following the smooth vibrating call of the falls before her, now before him who was suddenly within sight just a few paces from where his blood spray scattered over the ground. Artistic almost, the way a near silhouette was left in his stead, yet ignored as she followed in time.

Was it foolish of her to be so bold as to disturb the wandering beasts of the wild? She had been one not so long ago, timid as she was this male was surely one to hold his own and do fine under such harshness. She didn't rush upon him, instead kept her distance as she offered a mild yip before asserting a neutral demeanor. In thought of the minor trace of a meal he had just taken up only made her stomach roll with recollection, a sensation of irritation and hostility that she was all too familiar with from her own loner ways. She didn't have to worry about this now, but him, a rabbit was simply too little to consider anything substantial.

Surely that wasn't enough, not for you.

She was straightforward, her voice collected and youthful yet wearing the age of her maturity whether it was mental or not. What would have been her benefit to not point out the obvious first, then if he were willing to offer him up something of assistance should he want it? Keeping up she retained her distance but still waited, wondering, vigilant and occupied with this other wolf.
