Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

While Nanuk slept it began to snow once more, lazy white drifts that softly coated the land. It was not a tender embrace, however, for it hid the dangers of ice and murdered the life constantly trying to take life from the earth. Within an hour the spots that had been cleared from previous days of sunlight were once more coated with the snow and the world retreated into a hushed shell with the exception of the bitter wind. Spring would be here soon - it crept upon them even know but winter was not eager to release her catch.

Natu's alabaster fur blended in with the freshly fallen snow. She had been through eleven winters in her life and her body had grown accustomed to the cold snaps. Still with the wind pulling into such polar drafts even she was uncomfortable. Although she had visited Spirane and would most likely call it home Natu wandered the lands out of habit. Her paws were used to the constant movement of a wanderer and her heavy heart would take time to accustom itself to a set home once more.

Seeing some hidey-hole in the crags Natu climbed higher; the snow seemed to melt atop the rocks and pile along the sides for the moment and thus she caught sight of some dried blood brushed across a rock. Pausing in her climb she leans in and sniffs it, catching the scent of wolf that lingered around it. Ears perked and ice blue eyes wandering Natu looks around and spots the entrance to the cave. It was only logical for a hurt wolf to seek shelter. This bitter cold and wet would only make pains worse if left out in the open. Cautiously she walks to the cave, slipping inside when she does not immediately notice him.

The shadows of the cave adjust themselves in her eyes and finally she spots Nanuk curled up and slumbering. She notes the broken ear and the caked blood around his paw pads. Natu frowns, feeling pity for the young male - it is obvious his life has not been an easy one. Her heart has always been kind to those in need and those hurt, it is simply the way of Natu although there is a warrior within her too. Slowly, quietly, she approaches him, dipping her maw so that she pushes it against his cheek. She pulls back rapidly, not wishing to startle him and get bit in the process. "Greetings, young one," she murmurs in her dulcet tones, hoping if her nudge didn't rouse him that her words might.
