 Though she has moved on from that moment, Morrigan will never forget how it had felt when she had realized that her grey king had callously abandoned her. Staring down at the unmoving bundle that would have been their first child - a son, no less - the dark mare had vowed that she would never forgive Warsaw, and would someday exact her revenge on him. The thought of tearing down the stallion's kingdom, of destroying everything that he held dear, sustained her through the difficult days that had followed. But she had never truly imagined that they would meet again. "You..." Overcome by anger and indignation, for a moment Morrigan can do nothing but choke on the mouthful of curses that seek to escape her lips, dark eyes narrowed in a glare filled with enough venom to kill. No wonder Dexter had kept the name of his neighbor a secret - he knew well enough that the mare he was sending to the Inlet despised Warsaw with an intensity comparable only to her hatred of him. Well, to hell with that man and his so-called plans! Swallowing her mouthful of bile, Morrigan speaks in a voice that is surprisingly cool and composed, given the circumstances. "The only mistake I see here is you. Come to give failure another grand attempt?" She can't help but to heckle him, though she has sworn to herself that she will simply turn and walk away. And already is angling her body to do just that, though it is more difficult than she imagined it would be. But somehow she manages to tear herself away, and is already beginning to walk back the way she had come when she speaks again. "Well, I won't be sticking around to watch this time. I think I'll go get cosy with your new neighbor. Have fun, love." Her tail flicks dismissively in Warsaw's direction, as if to shoo away an irksome fly, and she continues along without a break in her stride. |
