Cream

pon her arrival she was greeted enthusiastically by her son, causing her smile to turn warm and affectionate as she turns her head back to nuzzle his growing shoulder. Cream had missed the boy but it had done him good to be with his father for a little while, to toughen him towards the way of a stallion if one could ever call Jab’s tough. Eyes rising she took no account of the others joining them, only of the stallion who now approached to give her a loving touch that she happily returned. Cream gave no explanation upon her disappearance, now was not the time.


As her stallion addresses the others, Cream brings her attention back to the gathering horses. She gives them a nod of her head though wonders if any shall challenge her position. The buckskin mare does not let this trouble her though, pushing it away to the back of her mind. A meeting to learn new faces and names was not the time to start a rift between them just before winter.


“And to you, Lyden” Cream replied politely to the painted stallion, knowing they should be better acquaintances by now. She had been neglecting her duties but that time was over, she was going to be a part of this herd and help Jab’s with the things in life he most needed, support. Her brown gaze drifted over the other women as Lyden introduced them to each other, storing their names for later as she was hoping to keep everyone close together during this hard season. She flicked her tail, glancing to her stallion a moment before looking back to Lyden.


“After living upon Tinuvel it is hard for us to say. I’m sure we will do just fine so long as the herd stays close and helps one another. There is no use in us being divided.” Cream said, hoping that Jab’s didn’t find it offensive that she had answered for him.
