Please Don't Leave Me

Silent people have the loudest minds.

Something is bugging me, I have no clue what, but something is. Is it all the new strangers, maybe. Since the mares have more than tripled it seemed. I looked at everyone else and then threw my head away in a different direction. Apparently my legs liked the sight in front of them because I immediately began walking off. The muscles in my legs and shoulders were twitching again. Like when I first met Lyden not too long ago. Why am I on edge? It's getting irritating, no ones harming me in any way.

Maybe, this old habit will die hard. My head sunk low as if I were going to pluck grass, but I wasn't. Nope I had no intend to eat whatsoever. The ears on my her pressed back tightly, as if they were trying to become water proof. Seal away the water from my ears and the noises of others. Yes, I'm just agitated by so many new strangers. After all I was a lone wandering girl before Lyden offered the forest.

Flicking my tail, my head shot up as reality hit me hard. I fell for a guys charms. At that moment I wanted to hit my head on one of these trees. Of course, of course I did. Males, are sly. I need to remember that. As I walked guilt hit my stomach at the last thought. No, Lyden is just overly kind. Isn't he? A rush of heat flooded over my body as I became upset with turmoil.

Dang it! Dang it all! I started galloping as fast as my body would allow. The words, dang it, shouting through my head. Yelling furiously in my head as my heart thud with my hooves as they beat against the earth. Dang it! Tree limbs whipped across my back and hind end, which made me want to go faster, but I couldn't. Not anymore.

I began to loose too much oxygen and I slowed down inevitably. Panting furiously as my heart and lugs tried to leap out of my body. It hurt to breath until I calmed down enough, but even then something hurt. My mind just wouldn't clear and the twitch in the muscles was still there. Looking back I wondered how far away I was. Apparently pretty far because I could hear the lapping of the ocean from when I first swam here. Immediately I veered away and walked a further distance.

Something new danced in my air ways though. A new scent, maybe it was this so called Skylar or Quicksilver? Curiosity grabbed me by the ears and I followed along with it. Eventually coming to a clearing where the sky was blanketed with stars and there off in the distance was a single shadowed silhouette. Their front legs reaching for the sky and then touch the ground as if they were stuck here, stuck on earth.

Pivoting my ears forward I walked closer to the lone equine, the closer I got the taller they became. Then I stopped firmly in place. This mare was new too, maybe I shouldn't bother her. Too late now I suppose since I already approached her. Hesitantly my voice called out to her and my ears flicked back slightly. After all, I didn't know if she would come at me. Hello... New around here?... I'm Azazel....Welcome to the forest.
