Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

SHE'S THE GIGGLE AT A FUNERAL [felony]

i'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
i'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife

-----Twice she has been traded, twice sent to another home without her consent, like a piece of property, something that could be kept and owned and dominated. Honestly, the first time, she hadn't minded at all. She knew that Lyden had only been doing his job as a lead stallion - you know, conducting business and maintaining good relations between his herd and Soljor's. After all, he had charmed one of Soljor's mares enough to make her want to leave her home in the Bay. Zhenya had only seen her once, but she had been a pretty little thing - all pale and creamy with baby blue eyes and a sweet temperament. It was no wonder Soljor wanted three mares in exchange for that one. If Zhenya had been a stallion, she probably would've made a steep demand as well.

-----The second and most recent time, though, left Zhenya feeling slightly irritated. She had left without a word as soon as Soljor had told her of his little deal. Most of her didn't mind being traded - it allowed her the opportunity to explore the Islands more thoroughly and truly get to know her Island home. Still, the second time in just under a few months? Ridiculous. Sure, she enjoyed her alone time, but every now and then it felt nice to know she had an entire herd family that would be there for her if she ever needed it. Being lonely all of the time wasn't always fun. She hoped the Lagoon would be able to provide some sort of support system for her. Something is always better than nothing, she figures.

-----With a heavy sigh, Zhenya finally crosses her way into the Lagoon. It stinks of musk and rotting things; the smell assaults her nose and her throat tightens, but she forces herself onwards. The mud squishes beneath her hooves and she seems to sink further into the muck with each step she takes. This is just lovely, her internal words are full of sarcasm. She trudges onwards, following the smell of the herd to where it is the strongest. It takes her a bit longer than it usually would to reach the center of the territory. She breaks through the thick tangle of vines and leaves and finds herself standing on the shore of a large, impossibly clear body of water, perhaps the very one that gave the Lagoon its name. Admittedly, it was very beautiful.

-----She stands knee-deep in water's for several minutes, allowing herself a few moments of much-needed rest. She doesn't bother to call out for anyone - someone will find her, sooner or later, there is no doubt about it. She simply waits, keeping herself preoccupied by cleaning the mud and decaying plant matter from her each of her legs and the tip of her tail. Despite its messiness, she thinks, the Lagoon might not be such a bad place to live.

((ooc: sorry it's a bit choppy. I am still trying to get a feel for her writing style and personality. It's taking unusually long lol.))
