"Your what?" Danny repeated in confusion, looking at Thoth with great curiosity. He'd known Thoth was prone to experiments of his own, he had, after all, been inside Thoth's room, but - having no books on the topic - struggled to figure out what he was saying. A mold, as in... a cast? But he already had a cast... So that left mold, like the blue stuff on bread that sat too long without being eaten. What good would mold do? The gleam in his eyes, shaking away at least a bit of the gloom that had been lingering there, said he, at least, was willing to listen to Thoth's ideas.

With Thoth's go-ahead, Danny quickly got down to business, keeping one ear open should Thoth deign to tell him about this mold business. His touch was gentle but impersonal, his study quick but thorough. His face worked itself into its normal position, a small frown on his lips and his eyes narrowed, in an expression that made him look older and more world-wise than he ought to at just ten years old. After a moment or two he moved to his massive bag, pulling out a handful of papers and studying them thoroughly, his frown deepening.

"There's a bit more redness here than Dr. Gupta mentioned before," he mentioned. "And it's hot to the touch. I'm worried it might be spreading."

He gnawed at his lip, plopping down on the chair at Thoth's beside to rifle through the contents of his bag some more. There was plenty of things he could prescribe, but Dr. Gupta had already given Thoth the most helpful types. Perhaps a combination, or... Danny paused in his gnawing for a second. Did he dare? Dr. Gupta, at least from Thoth's tone, hadn't seemed to think his idea was very promising, but...

While Danny contemplated something that could either help Thoth or get the both of them into deep trouble, Sol was busy studying Morveren much the same way someone would look at a bomb. His face had sunk even lower over the bed at Thoth's warning, looking thoroughly intimidated by the water-fox who hadn't even bothered to stir thus far. At Thoth's second sentence though, Sol huffed and poked his head back up fully.

"No fair, you really had me going!" the tiger pouted.

Danny, however, tried to stifle a laugh. "Serves you right. Don't you know curiosity killed the cat?"

Sol snorted and rolled his eyes at the boy. "Don't you know if you say that one more time I'm going to eat your dinner again?"

What do you think about them using Thoth's experiment??
Either good or bad outcome, I think it could be fun! :D
