and the rest is rust and stardust

Pilar had seen quite a few souls lingering among the Ridge over the months she had lived here, yet she had yet to meet any besides Kasabian who also claimed to be residents. It was quite interesting that there seemed to be more wayward souls and visitors than actual members of the herd. She actually didn’t mind this however. The constant influx of new faces made Pilar feel like she was constantly travelling and always in a new place. Perhaps that’s why her usual wanderlust had been fairly satiated.

The seal brown girl trotted along the path, set out with no particular destination in mind when she spotted Kasabian and another unfamiliar horse at the edge of the jungle part of the Ridge. Deciding that she would pay them both a visit, she moved off the path and crossed the grass in order to approach them more directly.

“Hi there!” Pilar offered, her bright eyes studying the very large light-colored mare that stood beside Kasabian. With her unusually curved ears pricked forward, she tilted her nose up to get a better look at her face.

“Wow, you’re very tall,” Pilar commented. She didn’t want to seem rude, but Pilar had never met a horse of Marlena’s size before and she felt it deserved a remark. Except Ikari of course. Maybe the two were related.
