I keep seeing agencies comment about the lack of pictures with sightings. Well this weekend, I was travelling about the woods of the Berkshires. I encountered FIVE different turkey families crossing the road. On all five occasions, I attempted to stop and pull out my camera to get pictures. Keep in mind turkeys are nowhere near as fast as a cougar. It took until the FIFTH crossing for me to finally get a picture. It was a family of 3 small ones, and 2 adults, male and female. They had ALL managed to get into the woods but I got a shot of the last one, the male. And it wasn't easy!! Keep in mind also by that time I had left the camera on, and ready. Bottom line, its VERY hard to get a picture of a cougar that's moving. Replies:
