Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

A pirate flag and an island girl

Anticipation filled the heavy lagoon air between Lyden and herself. She shifted her weight uncomfortabley, waiting those few tense seconds until Lyden spoke. He looked directly at her, the shame filling her from the bottom up. He knew what to say to make her ashamed of the reason that she had been here. It had been innocent, yet Lyden reprimanded her infront of the others. She felt herself shrinking away from him, as he finished by telling her that it was not all about her. As the words sink in heavily on her heart, she drops her head for a brief moment, defeated. He turns to leave, but before departing he lets her know that he needed her to come home, now. She could faintly here the shuffling of feet, and a few words in passing, but other than that, just the sound of her own heart. It beat in her ears, she could feel heat crawling into her cheeks. She was embarrassed.

She could feel Dixon's lips close to her ear as he tries to convince her to stay, here, in the Lagoon. But she knew better than that, she knew that the only way she could stay here is is Dixon decided he wanted her that bad. Her cerulean eyes find his, their darkness sucking her in. She knew deep down inside, that they were nothing more than friends. Plus, how could she even ask him to do such a thing? They had barely met... Yea, they had fun, exploring, it had ended here, at his home; but that didn't prove a thing. She knew that once she went back to the Forest that she would be forgotten, just another page in his book. A heavy sigh escapes her lips. Swiveling her delicate head in his direction she clears her throat, chasing away the lump that was beginning to grow. "Dixon." She pauses as the painted stallion begins to speak, he told her that she had brave words. She hides her smile at his words, she figured it was a compliment, of some sort, and didn't want to let him know that she was pleased he approved. "Thanks." Was all that she said in return.

Anxiety pricks at her hide, as he tells Dixon that they had things to discuss. A bit of worry for him, begin to bubble up. Had this little chirade cost Dixon? As he disappears, she focuses on Dixon, for the first time since entering the Lagoon they were alone. A half hearted smile touches her lips. "Well, that was interesting." As her mind drifts to his words. "I think that we should finish the tour, ummm, we are already caught. So what could it hurt?" A playful smile warms her face, she would enjoy these moments.

A moment passes between them, as the silence stretches, she takes a few steps back to his side. As she nears his muscled shoulder, she brushes her pink lips against his taunt midnight hide. She postions her body next to his, waiting for him to show her the rest of the Lagoon. "Lead the way."
