Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I Want Whatever She's Got

Léon laughed.

“Yeah, I’ve been out here all winter,” he answered. He shook his read mane. “Been pretty bored too. My dad’s been acting all weird and moody and aggressive. But other than that…” He shrugged. “Nothing interesting. Seems that I’m the only yearling in the whole Lagoon!” He glanced back at the approaching palomino.

“Afraid of a girl? Of course not,” Léon offered. “But better to be safe than sorry, right?” He was ready to herd Geirdriful a little deeper into the Lagoon away from angry mares but the dunalino filly stepped forward to meet the shiny golden mare.

Dia was a little caught off guard by the filly. But she still wasn’t going to let another mare get stuck in this muck and mire if she could help it. Especially such a young one. She didn’t stop.

“Ya shud leave, suga,” Dia snorted, meeting the filly’s eyes. “Dis place ain’ na place fer a filly.”

“Can you talk normally?” Léon snorted. Dia turned angry brown eyes on him and he did his best to look a little larger, stepping up to Geirdriful. Dia merely turned up her nose at the boy.

“Ya shud learn sum mannas,” Dia snorted. “Doe, Ah can’ say Ah expec’ much bedda from ya lagoonies.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?!” Léon snapped. He shook his mane. “Come on, Geirdriful. We don’t need to stand here and take this.” He knew mares didn’t really like the Lagoon. This mare seemed to be just like the rest of them. It wasn’t like they stayed long anyway.

“Dun ya ‘ake anodda s’ep,” Dia stated starting forward. “Sheh’s ta young fer ya anehway, er didn’ yer pa ‘splain dad?”

Léon pinned his ears now. What was she implying anyway?
