It was finally time and Fly wasn’t quite sure if she should feel nervous or not. It had been quite some time since she had set hoof in the Forest. It had been quite some time since she had left the security of Tinuvel. But her curiosity was strong; her desire to see her family again even stronger. But the bay mare had waited until the child was born and strength had been gained in her thick limbs to make the swim. It would be good for the girl as well. Perhaps she could even make some friends her own age.

Pulling her body from the chilled waters, it clung to her thick coat but slowly slide free from her body and dripped onto the shore. Pausing there, Fly glanced back at Peyton who had stayed faithfully at her mother’s side. The girl’s brown eyes were large with innocent curiosity to the new place but the quiet child didn’t speak on her thoughts. Instead she just looked on with amazement that there could be such warmth and so many trees.

With a warm chuckle to herself, Fly looked back again for Soljor to see if he had made the swim too as intended.
