Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

miles to go before i sleep;

As the trio moved along – Sleekwing and Hollowpoint side by side, with Astrid in their wake – the heather marked brute picked up casual conversation, beginning with the customary ice breakers. Where are you from? Whether he would probe further and inquire as to whether the duo sought a home to call theirs would wait until later. He doubted Hollowpoint would be bothered by the question and would probably answer it truthfully, but he had a feeling it would be more appropriate to wait until later in regards to Astrid. “Born and raised. The mountains of Spirane are my home,” he said, motioning to the west where the mountain range stood plainly upon the horizon. It wasn’t the entire truth – he’d been born in Solevion, and raised on the move after the sky had fallen. But his family had returned home and for many years now Spirane had been his home. There was no place he’d rather be.

He began the steep descent and made his way down with ease, but deliberately took his time to show the siblings the best way down. As he reached the final, wide ledge above the basin where the pool was, he glanced back up to make sure his newfound companions weren’t having too tough a time of making their way down. Hollowpoint seemed eager, lengthening his stride to skip smaller steps Sleekwing had taken. But before he could do anything about it, the large wolf made to leap down to the final ledge to join him. Eyes of dark blue and lavender widened slightly at the site, knowing full well he had over calculated his leap. Though all four paws touched down on the outcropping, they did not remain so for long. Hollowpoint tumbled forward, somersaulting off the ledge and unceremoniously dumping him in the water.

The streaked silver brute almost leapt down after him, but the sound of a single displaced rock above and behind him made his head spin back towards Astrid, worried she might have slipped and fallen as well. However, he was met with the sight of her briskly and gracefully making her way down with unexpected ease. When her front paws hit the rock beside him he did not wait to see if her hind paws did the same, his head swiveled back to see if Hollowpoint was okay. Well what are you waiting for? Sleekwing was relieved that he seemed to be unharmed, though he was such a large wolf it should not have come as such a surprise.

His gaze was drawn to Astrid as she looked at him, and he huffed a light sigh of relief. The comment she made elicited a laugh, and he shook his head in amusement. Only a moment after Astrid leapt from the ledge he followed, landing next to her and promptly trotting over to Hollowpoint. He glanced him over to make sure he truly wasn’t hurt, and then moved past him further into the water until the water was just past his abdomen. He looked back over his shoulder at the duo on the shore and smiled. “There are fish, if you’d like to eat as well as cool down.” He recalled the fish that had clapped him square in the face before it had served as a snack to him and Natu that hot summer day they’d enjoyed at this same pool. Fish made a nice enough snack, but it wasn’t really that great of a meal. “Although, if you prefer your meals a fair bit larger, a few of the packs are planning to team up soon to take down a few of the moose that reside in the northwestern corner of Moladion. Maybe you’d like to join us?” He said us in reference to his pack, for he would remain behind during the hunt to protect the pack should anything happen in Daenerys’ absence. Even so, it was nice to extend the invitation either way.
