Every muscle was tense in the palomino’s body. Her eyes were wide with fright as she watched her sister and the other stallion, Soljor disappear in the distance. Panic ran through her. Her body began to tremble as Dogun approached and left a mark on her shoulder. She shied away at the touch and squealed loudly. Her ears pinned flat against her poll.

She snaked her head around, aiming for any body part as she snapped her jaws shut. It was a fierce attempt at protecting herself, something she hadn’t had to do since her sister had always done the protecting. She then turned on her heels and bucked, kicking her heels into the air, towards him, again, hoping to make some sort of contact. “Don’t touch me and stay away from me.” She spoke quietly, but every word held anger with in it.

She moved away from him so she wasn’t within reach. She held her pace at a walk as she went the direction she thought he wanted her to go. Her eyes were still wide with fear as she watched him but eyed her surroundings. She was feeling overwhelmed and confused with everything going on. How could her sister just up and leave her like that? How could she just leave without confronting this stallion? Why didn’t she fight to protect her sister? She felt very alone and abandoned.

At least she made it to the Inlet…well, she assumed this is what this place was called. She had quickly scanned the area. There were other horses in the area but she didn’t want any part of it. She stopped short of the herd and moved away to be by herself. Dogun had successfully brought her to her home although she wasn’t going without a fight.
