So… this was the Forest. It really didn’t seem that impressive as the roan boy left the water and shook it from his coat. His amber eyes took in the dark, looming threat that was the mess of trees. It was a lot of trees. So how was it that this stallion was causing so much trouble? Léon Lion-Eyes had been using a lot more ears than eyes lately. It seemed as if this “Lyden” fellow had been giving the Lagoon some trouble. He wasn’t quite sure of the kind of trouble (Felony and Rade always noticed his presence by that point) but trouble was the right word.

Being the youth that he was, Léon decided to run off and see if he could cause trouble back. You know, swipe a mare of his and breed her. Things of that nature. The wild energy that surged through the colt this season was quite something. He now understood what Psych had meant when he said sometimes the girls smelled really good.

It almost made it tolerable. But the black mare he’d brought back from the Paradise wasn’t really doing… much. Except being terrible. His chest still hurt from that kick she gave him. Or was it kicks? Either way, it had been a really long struggle. Now, though, that was behind him. He had brought a friend to help him with the physical part of forcing the mares back home. Not Jourka. No. Jourka’s father was Lyden. He wouldn’t turn on his own dad. Not yet anyway. Instead, it was the larger, other one-eyed colt the Lagoon had. Fenris. Ceowulf didn’t quite realize the new toys he’d given Léon Lion-Eyes when he’d gathered them all together in that grove. He hadn’t fought himself, but he’d watched. He’d learned. And he’d planned.

Amber eyes set in his wide blaze took in the scene. There was a lonely girl a ways off. Perfect, they wouldn’t even have to go very far. She was pale and had a white rump with dark legs and mane (sort of like his mother). Léon looked back at his taller companion and jerked his head towards the mare.

“This way,” Léon said, his voice low so as not to spook the mare, at least not until he was closer. He arched his neck, put on his most charming smile and lifted his tail as he eased over the sands towards the girl. He strode up on one side of her so close that they were practically touching. He could smell a stallion all over her, presumably Lyden. Darn stallion had probably already covered her… but it wouldn’t matter too much. “Hello there,” Léon said, his voice rich. “My name’s Léon. I’m visiting from the Lagoon and I couldn’t help but notice you here all alone.” he emphasized the final words.

“And I thought to myself, ‘who in their right might would leave a pretty thing like you all alone?’ A rather perplexing thought, eh?” His smile was effortless. “So, here’s the thing. I’m gonna sweep you off to the Lagoon. You can either come with me quietly or…” He turned his head towards Fenris who ideally should be coming up along her other side. “Or my friend here can make you. And we really don’t want to mark your pretty hide up.” There was a predatory light to his eyes. His nickname suited him quite well.
