Back in the 1990s I met a fellow who had recently bought a house down off of East Bare Hill Road in Harvard near the Boxborough line and he claimed to have seen a mountain lion walking along the fenceline of his neighbor's paddock early one autumn morning as he got ready to commute to his oiffice in Boston. His coworkers encouraged him to call Mass Wildlife which he did explaining that he'd recently relocated here from California and knew very well what a mountain lion looked like. Still, Mass Wildlife pretty much blew him off.
