Sigrún was grateful that the stallion came closer and saved her the longer walk to meet him. Carrying around all the extra weight was a chore that was beginning to wear on her. Perhaps if she had been happy about the child, she would have felt differently but the uncertainty over its paternity just left her feeling tired and frustrated. She did not, not want it, however. The foal was her child and she would raise it just as diligently as she had Kraken. Her mind often wandered to where the roan striped filly might be, if she'd gotten far away from the lagoon and was safe one of the herds now or if some tragedy had befallen her. The grulla tried not to worry about that and always pushed it to the back of her mind when those thoughts crept in.

The dumpy mare reached out to exchange breaths with the spotted stallion and was was not offended by his choice of words or his preoccupation with the size of her belly – all of it was true. The grulla roan was a rather plump mare at the best of times so the addition of pregnancy made her look quite comical, even if she didn't feel it. Sigrún was not vain either and she appreciated him not skirting around issue. ”Mmmm, I wish I would” she huffed in response to his comment on being ready to pop. The foal turned and tested out its legs in response, but it was not ready to come out yet.

The mare flicked her tail idly. ”No” she said simply at his question. She hadn't even considered what she would call him or her though she knew a name would come to her once she saw it. It didn't occur to her that perhaps she should elaborate and tell the stallion, lest she come of as rude, but Sigrún had never been one for conversation. The hint of a smile touched her ashen lips at his apology and introduction, ”Sigrún” she told him.
