Well that theory was put forth, but there are two issues with that theory.

1. The cat has been seen since the CT cat was hit.

2. If it was the CT cat, it makes the "cat that came from South Dakota" story fail due to the timing. Keep in mind there were also tracks found at the quabbin that year.
