Recent evidence from the Dakotas is now showing that female cougars are dispersing much further from that area than ever before thought. Almost as far as Males disperse. This is likely due to the population level there. However, its likely this has been happening for decades. With new evidence such as this arriving weekly, its important to not focus on old theories, and be able to accept it as it comes.
