One of the Earth

15.3hh - Gypsy Vanner - Lead of the Inlet

Pagan could not help but smile at the look in her eye. Seeing her come alive before him warmed his heart. As a stallion, he thrilled that his land, cold as it could be, helped to relight the fire that was this mare. His sex might have made him a custodian, but he felt that now her spirit was burning it was his place to make sure it had the space to burn bright.

”I look forward to hearing your words, when you find them.” Pleasantly, he took what came as it came and adapted to whatever the world brought. It had taken him years to learn the trait, but it was a lesson he was determined to keep. Once the mare started to follow him, he picked up his pace into a trot, enjoying the release of energy as his hooves pounded the ground. He took them along trails he knew led through the main parts of the territory. She had been there mere weeks and spent them healing from the edge of death. Surely this had not given her a chance to see the land for what it was. Even if she had explored, he wondered if she had found the special charms that were not the hot springs.

”As you found, there are warm springs here, there are also holes that shoot water. A lot of these places have bad water that do not get fresh again until closer to the Inlet. In some places, the close to the geysers, the earth is thin, I would hate to lose you to a misstep.” As honest as the gypsy was, Tinuvel was deceptive, he did not want its dangers to surprise her. He slowed when the path led to an open space that had long grass gradually thinning to flowers and lush moss before transforming to lichen. Rock and crust remained where the vegetation ended, creating a hole in the ground. There was a hiss in the air, an announcement as steam and suddenly water shot from the hole and into the sky. Pagan watched the geyser for a moment, waiting for it to return to the ground and flow away. He turned back to Pirate attentively. ”Beware of the moose” His ears flattened to his skull in annoyance towards the large creatures. ”They fight different than horses.” Shaking off the thoughts, he brought himself back to his companion.

”Do you have any questions?” He tilted his head at her, curious if she wanted to know anything about him, about here, about what it meant to be here.
