Hi David, You're not crazy!Weather knows his stuff and it's possible they weren't this time but I do believe they are in this area. If you search Mountain Lion prints you will learn about the X formation that Weather was referring to indicating a canine. The best thing to do is take a plaster cast (I know, not something most mountain bikers carry with them!)that way they are saved and can be examined over time.As you mention the Milford News I assume you are from close by; I live in Medway, next town over. If you scroll down on this board you will find that there have been sightings around us. Sherborn,Whitinsville, and I myself am quite certain I saw prints in my back yard. Tried to do the plaster cast and failed miserably.Interestingly I happened to read somewhere else that a woman on Hill St. just a few streets from me saw huge prints that she identified as M.L. also! I have no doubt they're around, just very elusive.I have been interested in them since I read an article in the Wayland Town Cryer around 10 yrs. ago stating that a town worker was sure he saw one in the early morning light in Wayland crossing the road. He was a hunter and knew his animals. If you get a good look at one it's hard to mistake them for anything else.So don't be discouraged and keep looking!
