.Wild Roses Bloom By Fire. [OPEN]

i'm a wild child
simple yet experimental.

The woman had left the king by the waters and fled into the night, her body beckoning her to be alone. Her child was coming. There were stars overhead and she was guided by them into the desert night to where she found a place far from the oasis, a stone structure that guarded from the desert winds. What a cold night it was. There were plants that found life in this little shelter and she sought a place that would be comfortable and safe for both her and her child. The night was one of labor and before long, her body naturally running its course, her first born foal breathed her first breath. A daughter, a beautiful daughter. She huffed and found strength to rise gently, to look upon the child. She moved with her deep joy numbing her pain and she cleaned the child of the things that had once protected her from the world. Now Nesrin would be her protection. Through the mess came light colored skin, that nearly brought the young mother to tears. Her daughter bore her dam's coloring, as she recalled her sire being a dark skinned hellion. And how fitting that this child should be desert born as her mother was, and her mother before her, and so forth for as long as stars filled heaven.

She encouraged the babe to rise, and the child did on new limbs. After a few attempts the child was up and she suckled and soon the pair slept for what hours of night were left. Nesrin kissed her child tenderly and spent much of the night admiring the wonder of the little life beside her. Truly this was a miracle, something she had never experienced before. This child was the center of her heavens now. The man that had drawn her out of her desert land and out into the unknown world was gone. There was a life immeasurably more important now, and a man Nesrin wondered if he were to be a part of this child's life. The desert belle could not imagine the dark vagabond finding anything to hate or despise in something as beautiful as this child…their child. Exhaustion eventually quieted her thoughts and sleep overcame her.

Morning came with twilight still in the sky. The buckskin minx roused her child as the sun just broke the twilight, darkness still in the sky. Together they made the journey back to the oasis. Again the waters drew the desert born daughter and now her daughter, and she drank with the same grace as she had not long ago when she had first met Orhan. The youth seemed hesitant to enter the water. Nesrin eyed her curiously as the little buckskin filly sniffed cautiously at the water and eyed her mother with question before prancing about in frustration…uncertain how she might reach her mother who was still in the shallows. Her dam laughed, registering these as memories mothers often kept of their children. With something of a mischievous smile, she tossed her head and splashed about. The filly became more anxious to join her mother but was still concerned about the "stuff" surrounding her dam. Playfully, the mare kicked up a little wave towards the child who seemed in absolute shock at being wet. After a moment to recover the child finally dashed in and the two played under morning light.
