- just close your eyes, the sun is going down -
The oceans' surf washes at her hooves, she looks down and is mesmerized by the warmth that the ocean offers. Back in her homeland, the ocean's waters were never tepid, but chilling to the bone. She lifts her head upwards, her long locks cascade down her face. A soft breeze blows off the ocean, as a distant islands catches her attention. This land was strange, and she remembers the painted stallion Braylen. Maybe this would be the day to visit the place he called home.
She enter the ocean's surf, setting out for the island. She keeps her nostrils above the ocean as her strong legs propel her with ease through the waters. This was an easier trip then the one that had brought her here. She did not have to struggle agains the ocean's grasp for long when the island begins to loom over her. She swims eagerly forward, anxious to see him again.
She clambers up the rocky shore, her hooves glance off of a few larger stones. She lifts her dark nostrils upwards breathing in the fresh mountain air. Cautiously she steps forward, the scent of other horses is faded on the breeze. She hopes that she would be able to find them, but knows that she would not go undetected forever. She climbs up the beach until she tops it, her eyes gaze out at the beauty that was the Inlet, she assumed. With a snort, she picks up a trot, her head rotates atop her shoulders looking for any life.
