Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Zalika was to far away to have heard the scream, though at the sound of birds taking off she tilts her head up to watch the dark creatures as they frantically flapped their wings to get away from some unseen force. She snorts, and gets back to focusing on locating her daughter.

Meanwhile, fueled by the fear his mother had put into him, Scythe was frantically doing his own searching. The scream that sounded was both a blessing and a harsh slap in the face for the stallion who may have just gotten his sister hurt or worse, killed. He was still far off from her location but spurred himself into a canter, not caring how sharp branches pulled and scratched at his skin, or how the vines and the mud seemed determined to stop him. None of it mattered, his focus was entirely on getting to Osceola. Halfway there Scythe had to swerve out of the way and then stopped to watch as a blur of dark fur went bounding by, well mostly limping, not at all taking notice of Scythe as he stood there. It carried the the smell of his sister and the hint of blood, but also of his father. Scythe looked off in the direction it had come from, hesitated and then turned to head back to Zalika. Felony was here, and had no doubt come to his daughter's rescue when Scythe hadn't, so she was safe from harm for now.

His mother was easy to find as she hadn't gone too far from where she had been in case Osceola showed up. Returning empty handed and telling her of what he had seen hadn't gone over well, and he simply stood there as Zalika went at him again before rushing off to where she knew Felony would go. Scythe trailed behind her with a slight limp to his step; Zalika had kicked his shoulder rather hard, but it was nothing compared to what his father would probably do to him when he learns it was his fault in all this mess. The willow tree was only just up ahead and Zalika sped up, bursting out of the shadows with Scythe just behind her; her eyes went to the filly curled up at Felony's hooves before lifting to look at her beast. She could scent his own blood along with Osceola's, though in her position she couldn't tell where he might be hurt. The roan woman was slow in her approach, lowering her head when she was close enough to gently brush her nose against her daughter and check her over. Satisfied she wasn't too seriously hurt Zalika lifts her head up to glare over at Scythe who stood before his father with his head down in shame. "This is your fault," she snarls out at him, letting Felony know if he hadn't figured it out that Scythe had been the one to lose Osceola, "if you had stayed in the clearing this wouldn't have happened, Stupid boy."

The last bit was a low blow as Scythe was the second oldest out of his siblings yet still had the mind of a child. Zalika blamed herself for that, she had coddled him so much when Felony hadn't believed him to be his son; as if the golden eyes weren't enough. She shakes her head, turning her head away from her son as he didn't show any reaction to her words or even acknowledge her; she was tempted to bite him again, to make him say something but Osceola needed her more. Zalika lowers her face again, nuzzling at her filly.
