Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everything started to happen at an accelerated pace. The events around him. The movement of every furry creature in the area. His heartbeat.

It was almost enough to knock him on his ass. If not for the group of wolves he was with; the pack that came together as strangers at the lake and left as a family. He was there for them and he wasn’t going to allow himself to lose his focus now. He had not heard the crack of the twig or even realized that Rodan had been spotted until he saw the bear swiping her massive claws at him. It looked like the wasps were, at the least, disorienting to the creature. Before he had a chance to devise a plan of action, the lumbering grizzly was swiping in the direction of him and Nimueh. Her claws made harsh contact with his russet companion and that was enough to snap him into action. He took no time to think it through or consider every possibility like he normally would. It was pure fight-or-flight driving him; the instinct to protect his pack mate.

The bear went for another swipe at the small she-wolf. The daggers on her paws had just barely made contact again when Dakota’s body hit Nimueh’s, shoving her off to the side into some shrubbery, hopefully putting her out of the bear’s range. He felt terrible for possibly bruising the vixen’s shoulder but he was sure whatever damage he’d done was far less significant than what the bear could do to Nimueh’s dainty frame. He ducked down, avoiding any contact from the bear whose paw was probably still coming down from when she struck out at Nimueh. His dark eyes caught movement around the underside the bear and noted the flash of fire red. Dante. The leader was putting herself right in the mix and, after looking at Nimueh once more to make sure she was out of the way, he threw himself at the bear. She still seemed a little disoriented from the wasps, the majority of which had gathered in an attacking cloud of tiny devils around her face. The alpha was also likely serving as a distraction to some degree. As Dante did her work on the creature, he darted to one side of the bear and then lunged toward the back of her front leg. He aimed to grab the soft flesh under her arm. It was mostly muscle and wouldn’t do much long term damage but it would hurt like a bitch. Soft areas like that were full of nerves and hell, if he managed to leave a significant mark then putting weight down on that leg wouldn’t be in her favor.

If he managed to grab the skin there, he would clamp down with his jaws as tightly as he could. From here it all depended on how the bear reacted. If he was able to get his feet placed sturdily on the ground, he would jerk backwards, hoping to tear skin and muscle. If he his foot placement was loose and unreliable, likely due to the movement of the bear, he would shake his body as violently as possible, again the goal being to do as much damage and cause as much pain as possible. Once his attack was finished, or if he didn’t manage to grab her leg at all, he would dodge backwards and create some space between them. After reassessing the situation he heard Dante let out a desperate and angry howl He looked towards her; to see if she was prepping an attack or if she needed to signal him. When the bear began attacking anyone else other than him, he would jump at the bear and begin nipping it then backing away, nipping it, then backing away, over and over more to be annoying than actually damaging, anything to get its attention away from the other wolf.
