Pale gold ears flicked back and forth attentively on top of his head as the winter rain poured down. The season was slowly starting to draw to a close and the wild storms had passed. This was likely one of the last heavy downpours of the season. The air was thick with moisture from the changing of seasons. It felt as though the ground was raining up just as the sky was pouring down. A pleasant smile lingered the stallion’s lips as he stepped into the pouring rain that instantly soaked him to the skin. His light gold coat turned deep and brilliant. The paler locks of his mane and tail turned an instant platinum and as he moved through the wet he looked as though he had been carved of precious metals and buffed to a brilliant shine even in the cloudy shadows.

The soundsof the forest gave him life and his slow gait, the aura of mystical beauty was shattered when the stallion tossed up his forehooves in a snort of glee and launched himself through the trails of Paradise. He was lord of his realm and he was to run in it. Throughout the season he had checked in each of the caves of the cliff so ensure those who stayed within his borders were safe from the storms. He had kept a quiet and distance tab on the desert mare and her child. Figuring the mare at least was irrationally irritated by the climate of the island he had made sure the filly was taken care of and stayed close to the shelters while thunder and lightening reigned above and around them.Today though, the weather was mild and the fear lightening and thunder could instil within others had long passed. This was a rain for play and pleasure! Snorting with his freedom the stallion raced along the swollen shores of the river that cut through his land. The water was fierce from the season and fast. He was determined to race it, and beat it to the shores and into the ocean.
