Re(4): Canadian DNA results on Cougar evidence

Stuart Keen made the estimate of 800 cougars. He is an associate of Gauthiers. He did reduce it to 550 after some further examination. One of our group had lunch with Keen and Gauthier a couple of months back. That number was agreed on after consultation with the Canadian Wildlife officials, its not his opinion alone. With 497 pieces of evidence collected, I think its fair to say there are cougars there. Are a couple escaped pets? Maybe. Also possible they dispersed from Central America, or are descendants of such dispersers. So lets say there are 100. What evidence indicates they are all males? Again, theory. That didn't work well when applied to the area east of the Mississippi did it?
