Jasiri stood down by her rocky beach, her hooves submerged half-way in the sand by the ocean's tugging and pulling. The swells weren't as fierce here since they were separated from the large area their brothers and sisters battled in, but she appreciated the light splashing of the playful waves against her legs. She dipped her muzzle down and felt the water gently splash the tip. She snorted and jerked her head up before any could get in her nostrils, regretting her decision.

The wind carried a nearby neigh over her land. The silver mare's ears perked and she turned, hooves wetly popping out of the sand's grasp as she plodded away from the waves. She moved onto her tundra but stayed alongside the beach and warmed up with a slow canter before breaking into a gallop. For a moment she hoped her luck would bring her a draft stranger again, instead of a short horse like the one who visited a few days ago. The hope energized her; she pushed herself further in excitement.

By the time Jasiri saw the three horses, and noticed that none of them possessed a draft build, a sheen of sweat covered her coat and glistened in the sunlight. She slowed into a quick trot and fought to keep her ears pricked instead of pinned. She wanted to chase the shorter horses out, but they had stayed respectfully off her tundra and she was outnumbered. The silver mare was risky, not stupid.

She arched her neck and flagged her tail as she approached. She wanted to look as powerful and deadly as the ocean surging besides them and as permanent as her frozen tundra. She would not give up her land to these strangers."Who are you?" she asked, turning her head to size them up better. "What do you want from me?"
