Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Appetite is lust at best

There is no love, just appetite.
And its consequences keep you up at night.

If there was one thing Kasabian had learned from his brief time as a band stallion, it was that when you're the boss, you can't be everyone's friend. Responsibilities of the herd came first over personal preferences or relationships. It was an aspect the buckskin stallion struggled with greatly at that time. He so desperately had wanted everyone to like him. Now, he was taking his own advice perhaps a little too literally. Kasabian wasn't here to make friends anyway. He had a purpose and wasn't about to let some asshole nomad steer him off that path. On the other hand, he would need allies here to do what he had planned. He needed the Lagoon to be united, to have a purpose, to be willing to follow him and do what he asked. So Kasabian gritted his teeth and swallowed hard.

He laughed. Awkwardly and out of no where. His chapped lips parted and a series of bellowing chuckles leave his gut in response to this guy's witty insult. He couldn't tell if he meant it or not, but that didn't matter. This guy just had to think he meant it. After a few minutes Kasabian regained his composure. His green eyes studied the stranger's face long and hard again. "Let me guess. Was it Rade?" Kasabian asks, racking his brain for the list of the dickheads who came in front of him. "Because that guy sucked."

The stallion swiped his dark tail back and forth over his haunches as he urged his body to relax. His head drooped to be level with his chest and his lobes stayed forward and at attention. When the stallion spoke again, he smiled. "I've been away from this place for a while too." He said, ignoring the stallion's second insult but setting himself up for some kind of lopsided apology. "Maybe I was on my own for too long. Isolation man. You know what I mean."

In an effort to change the topic, Kasabian racked his brain for something else to say before the usual curmudgeon look retook control over his facial features. "So Kendry brought you in? I'm Kasabian, by the way. You are?"
