I Want The Action, Satisfaction (Jasiri)

She breathed a heavy snort as she once again pulled herself from the dark waters surrounding the islands. The heat of the fire inside her fueled her body through the cold air that frosted with the promise of a coming winter. The frigid ice in her eyes made the frost look balmy as she surveyed the land she had found herself on. The vast expanse of land surrounded by mountains, mountains already tipped with snow. Her nose flared in the direction of the peaks and her mouth twisted in a familiar sneer. They were the same, but still so different. They were new, and they were far away from everything she had known.

Hard black hooves scraped against the stoney beach as she launched herself forward. Black mane and tail billowed behind her as she moved, feathered hooves sending earth and tufts into the air with each pounding blow.

When she had first opened her eyes she had such expectations of the world around her. Others had told her dreams, spoke to her about fantasies, far off places, and a world that was just and right. Every time she had tried to reach for that wonder it had crushed before her. Now she stood, so young with nothing to stand on. All that was real within her was the fire that pressed her forward.

She had sought an adventure, a friend, a fantasy, anything and had come up short. A stallion that was nothing, and a mare that had been weaker even than that. Shadows of power with nothing to their name and no desire to create something more of themselves. Now she raced across an empty land hoping to find something and assuming there would be nothing.

Nothing to come across and nothing to stand in her way. Even if it tried, she would reduce it to nothing.
