i worked a unit where conultsnts promise trust doctors a lot of cataract surgery thengive them nothing or very little surgery and block their progress for silly reasons . so the waiting lists builds up and the same consultants do the cases as waiting list initiatives in the weekends or in a nearby private health provider which takes nhs patients who exceeded the 3 month waiting list target at an attractive pay rate.
is this legal?
is not this fraud- corruption - abuse of services ?
are not these conultants afraid of being caught?
How to stop this ? I am sure it is illegal and immoral
i think one day these people will go to court and will be jailed for abuse of power
