Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Diamant

The stallion that first approached Diamant was the largest horse he had ever seen up close, in both height as well as girth. The young stallion froze in place, tucking his chin into his muscled chest so that the diamond-shaped star on his forehead was hidden by his forelock, and stared at the pale, blue-eyed stranger with a guarded expression. There was no ounce of aggression in the stranger called Kendry; in fact, he was so friendly in his greeting that Diamant was immediately suspicious of his motives.

He made a mental effort not to move a muscle until he was certain that this giant of a stallion would not attack him for stepping even one hair out of his perceived place.

"Morning," he mumbled, and let his eyes drop to the ground. He was about to introduce himself when a third voice split the air off to the side. Momentarily forgetting his vow to be as still as possible, Diamant turned his head ever so slightly and found he had to look down to meet the eyes of the stallion who had joined them. Despite his modest height, the stallion was older than the two of them combined and did not seem to be happy about being awake. Strangely, Diamant found himself intrigued by this short bachelor, but this was not enough to overcome the intense feeling of inadequacy that pervaded him at being in the presence of these two stallions. Though neither of the bachelors had commented on his youth thus far, he still felt like an imposter standing there with them, acting as though he was an adult when all he wanted to do was turn around and run away.

"Name's Diamant," he finally said, dropping his voice to a gruff baritone in an effort to sound older than he was. "I'm from-" he began to add, then thought better of telling these bachelors that he had come from the Vulcans. "I-I'm new."
