Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Diamant

A frown deepened across Diamant's young face and intensified into an expression of disbelief. His eyes roamed the mare's wounds, and he tried to imagine Psychedelic or Kendry as the cause of them, but he could not. Though the two stallions had intimidated him upon first meeting, they had soon given him no cause to see them as anything other than friendly, harmless bachelors. Surely they could not have been responsible for such violence?

Kasabian, a voice reminded him. Diamant had not yet met the lagoon boss face-to-face and knew next to nothing about him. Perhaps he was the culprit? His gut tightened with fear and anger. He did not relish being under the authority of a stallion who could do something like this.

"I'm so sorry," he finally said, his voice soft and plaintive. He lowered his head as though in shame, and regarded the little yellow mare with somber amber eyes. Her presence was nothing short of a terrible revelation, and Diamant knew that he had some thinking to do after this encounter. "I live here," he continued, though his own voice sounded unconvincing in his own ears. "But I swear, I won't hurt you. I had no idea they... did things like this."

He paused and chewed his lip thoughtfully. "What's your name? Maybe I could talk to them for you. Maybe it was just a... misunderstanding?"
