I am glad that I get to spend some time with my daughter today. It is early morning. We are leaving Iromar, heading towards the crags to make it through to the valley. My little girl is often out and about, and I worry about her greatly. I can only hope that I am teaching her the things that she needs to battle all the things out there in the world. That is why I am out to give her a refresher on hunting skills.
She is young but vibrant as I can be. I am proud of how far she has made it as I trot along with my dark form. We are walking among gross and the occasional rocks, some rather large. You can hear the waterfalls in the distance. The sun was rising to the point that the sky was turning that brilliant shade of blue. It will be a sunny day, dappled with large, fluffy white clouds. Truly a beautiful sight. I had said my goodbyes to Aithne and Lazarus. My imprint had duties to attend to in the pack, and Lazarus did not wish to join. I at least know he is safe in the pack with his mother.
I look to Aster as we continue on this beautiful day, my eyes of violet and blue looking upon her lovingly. I am keeping my nose alert for any prey. I do not have an exact idea what to get- but that is part of the fun. I want to see with Aster smells, and what she decides to go after. I pause for a moment with the wind gently running through my black, silver, and red fur.
"Aster darling, what is your nose sniffing for today?" I ask with a smile on my aging face. I look to her and watch her expressions and how she moves. I hope that she is excited to learn a bit more. She was always curious and willing. I remember teaching her to hunt small prey in Iromar- so full of energy. All she needed to do was focus it correct. I think she has gotten better now. I have no doubt she will be an excellent hunter, and hopefully one day Empress of Iromar. |
