The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

MEN SHOULD KEEP THEIR WORD,

The weather was changing once more in Blossom. Snow was melting and mud and moisture was all around. New life would begin soon, both with the wildlife and the flora. Flowers and trees would bud through the earth, and newborn young would soon be born. Everything that had died would come back to life in one way or another, and life cycles would continue. That was one thing about this world, was that it was consistent. It could always be relied on that the spring would follow the winter, no matter how cold and terrible a winter may be. This past winter had been uneventful though. Nothing had happened in Abendrot and the pack and those within it all survived to see another year.

Along with the new life of spring, a lot about the past had been coming up with Grey Wind. He was still in shock to find out that his youngest brother, Mabbit, had survived the war that had happened when they had been very young. Mabbit had been so young that he assumed it impossible that his brother would have been able to survive, but there he was, in his own pack now. Sometimes things came full circle in funny ways. Not only was Mabbit alive, but so was Summer. Grey Wind had not seen Summer for a while though, but what did it mean that all three of the males from his family’s pack had survived the attack from an enemy pack? Did Tywin, the alpha of the other pack, know? Surely he could not, or else Grey Wind would have run into the other male by this point. The male pushed the thoughts from his head as he pushed out of his den, stretching his limbs to prepare to do another border patrol.

The large grey male’s paws padded through the terra, pawprints leaving a trail behind him in the mud from all the melting snow and ice. Audettes perked at the sound of a howl calling for him. The vocals were unfamiliar, and he thought maybe it was someone coming to join the pack. It had been a while since there had been new vargs within Abendrot, and it would be refreshing to have some new wolves. Yellow orbs focused on the female that was sitting at the borders when he arrived. She was obviously pregnant, and looked like she was close to be whelping. He hoped that she didn’t just come here for a temporary home, that was not what Abendrot was about, but to actually join and not just take advantage of a packs protection. As Grey Wind approached he kept him plume held high above him, and he searched the female for more information. What he found shocked him. There were unique marks on her facial features, marks that brought him back to the past he had been trying to escape.

Some packs were more well-known than others, and the Targaryens was one that was known, just as his old pack, the Starks, had been known. The Targaryens did not have the numbers that the Starks had though, and they were known for their inbreeding, trying to keep their blood lines pure. As a result some unique physical features had started to pop up, such as the markings along this female’s face. From what he remembered when he was learning from his father, was that there was only one Targaryen left, a female named Daenerys. The brute was surprised how much was coming back to him from his time before Blossom, but it seemed that he wouldn’t be able to escape his past entirely like he thought he had. With a look of curiosity on his features, not giving away his suspicions on who this female might be, he approached her. ”I am Grey Wind, Alpha of Abendrot. What brings you to my pack?”
