Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Pilot of the Storm That Leaves no Trace

like thoughts inside a dream

The skeleton watches me closely before he answers my subtle question, and as I presumed, he is no stranger to the Lagoon.

He pushes past me and I tense against the contact, barely moving as his protruding bones drag across my shoulder. It is a bold move for someone in such a weak state, but I conclude that there must be a strength somewhere within him that is not reliant on brawn. A deeply amused smirk wrinkles my maw; welcome home brother. He speaks again once clear of my burly body and I begin to answer as I turn towards his hide. ”Too right mate, grubs been plentiful since the Lagoon’s numbers dropped” I say, highlighting the fact that brotherhood is as weak as his appearance.

Leaving some distance between us, I follow the shadowy figure towards the path I abandoned earlier ”Name’s Fallo” I offer. I am not one for small talk and I do not see the need for friends or allies, but I am wise enough to acknowledge the benefits of knowing who is on my team. I just hope that this brute is smart enough to shares my belief.

I haven’t always been under the impression that the brotherhood requires a ‘team’ effort. Prior to my encounter with the wildcat, the one whose jaws and claws carved the messy scars upon my ass, I was happy to do the bare minimum to earn my place here. I saw the Lagoon as something that should serve me and left the managing of my home to those more ambitious than I. This, I see now, was wrong of me. The Lagoon is not here to serve us, nor we it, but instead we are supposed to find a balance that sustains us both. Now that the hierarchy is no more, I feel obliged to give my all and at least try to rebuild my home.
