Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Fire eyes shone, rimmed with the pristine white fur, they stood out like a beacon in the early morning light. Dawn had just arrived, rising slowly over the rest of the fields and mountains before him. The sun’s light caressed him like a long lost lover. Left ear flicked, the sounds of the birds chirping catching his attention. He turned his head, his eyes narrowing as he locked on the pair of birds that were singing away. His neck outstretched as he lifted his muzzle to the sky, drawing in a deep breath, letting the smells tell him he was alone, at least, in that moment. He had taken off, leaving his older brother to keep an eye on the girls. Jubilee and Mom stuck close to Cade, whether Aur did or not, Berwyn had no idea. He didn’t know much of his sister, not as they’ve grown older.

He turned, his left ear leading the way as he shifted his position on the rock formation, turning his back on the rising sun. Fire eyes watched the water on the opposite side of the crags. He started down slowly, his white form start against the color of the rocks. He shook his head, his left ear falling slightly, matching the permanent hang that the right side had. It was a reason he led with his left. How he hated that damned ear. It made hunting a real pain in the ass to be honest. Sounds were muffled and muddled due to his ‘floppy’ ear, hunting anything of the vulpine nature was way too sneaky, although they tasted great. His mom had always said how cute it made him look, but to be honest, he hated it. It made him look younger than he was. Made him feel inferior to others, especially Cade.

Berwyn stopped at the water’s edge, watching the fish that swam by. They were his main food source. He was a little too unbalanced with his hearing to hunt anything much bigger than a large hare. Which in a way suited him, he supposed. Smaller male, smaller fare. He didn’t like hating himself, no, when he was younger he was fine with who he was, how he was. But as he aged, it was something he hated about himself. Jubilee didn’t see it, and she played with his deformed ear all the time, so he bit back the anger about it, only to keep his baby sister happy. But even they knew he hated himself. There had to be someone, or something out there that would make it to where he could stand the sight of himself once more.
