Once the challenge of making it to the top of the peak was realised, Reyha had decided to turn her attention to the other challenges that the islands had to give. From what she could see from her perch and what she’d been told, each of the islands had a different climate. She had weighed the pros and cons of visiting the most difficult first before deciding that it would be better to choose the closest. She did not want to stray from the peak for too long, not while she was one of the newest members within in. She needed to make a good impression with her sisters, and disappearing right at the beginning of their relationships was not to be advised.
The weather is pleasant on the morning that she leaves, warm and sunny with only the slightest of breezes. When she emerges from the surf, she finds that Luthien is barely any different to the crossing – if at all. She does not that there are many more trees, however, and can see why this forest is known as the forest She gives herself a shake, sending seawater off in all directions. There is a slight chill in the breeze making her thankful for the warmth of the sun on her back.
Instead of choosing to venture further into the territory, Reyha merely moves to the nearest patch of grass. Though it tastes salty, she finds it quite appetising. She resolves that she will rest and dry out here before the explorations begin.
