TELL ME, WHY CAN'T THIS BE ENOUGH?

15.2HH PERLINO AKHAL-TEKE MARE
QUEEN OF PARADISE

Keyik looked up at the dark horse, his large head fortunately shielding her eyes from the glare of the sun. It would not be wise to make an enemy of a horse his size, she thought to herself. In fact, such brute strength could be of great use to her if he was to gain her trust. Of course, the way he squinted his eyes at her suggested his eyesight was not as good as it used to be, if it had ever been good and that was a shame. There was little point in having such size and strength if you could not see the opponent you mean to crush. A shame, she thought silently, flicking her silky tail behind her.

The pale mare offered only a small twitch of her lip at the words that left his mouth. He seemed oafish enough and certainly non-threatening despite his sheer size. ”More of a consequence I would imagine” she replied, letting the twitch turn twist into a small smirk. There was no point in being thorny with him when it was perfectly possible she could still find a use for him. You catch more flies with honey, she reminded herself.

Soon, the stallion seemed to realise the situation in which he found himself and so introduced himself; Qadir. She stored the name away, unsure what she would do with it at present. ”Yes Qadir, This is my home” she confirmed, repeating his name and the question to show that she was listening and not dismissive. ”My name is Keyik, and this is paradise”. She flicked her long tail, contemplating how she might go about finding out if he had any useful information for her. ”Tell me Qadir, is this the first island you have gotten lost on?” she asked with smile, humorously referring back to her first question.
