Her eyes go wide as he explains the curious weather in the Bay— and, she must assume, the whole island. "It sounds like a land right out of a fairytale," she says, a little breathless as she wonders at it. "Sunshine all the time followed by none at all— that, I think, I would like to see someday." Perhaps she can persuade her brother to give this island a chance for a year, just so she can witness it for herself. Unless he’s found somewhere better for them, that is. She glances sidelong at him again and smiles. "And ruled by a queen! This land has to be straight from a tale."

She ducks her head, embarrassed about her joviality as Zevu explains his father’s disappearance. She can imagine what grief he might be feeling all too well. She, at least, will get to see Trell again in what is truly a short amount of time. Zevu obviously doesn’t have such certainty.
"Sorry," she mumbles. "Yeah, just me and Trell. We’re twins. Womb-kin. Closer than anything," her eyes go afar as she says this, voice gone husky with reverence. Then her gaze slips back to Zevu and she gives her head a small shake. "I’m not used to being apart from him. Actually, this is the first time we’ve ever been separated. But," she takes a deep breath and firms her resolve. "I know I’ll see him again soon."

She glances toward each of the locations Zevu indicates and tries to think critically. Hot springs and caves sound more fascinating —and more related to fairy tales— than the rocky shoreline, but she knows Trell will want to know for certain which beach is accessible and which beach to avoid when he comes back with her. She tips her nose in that direction. "The separate beach, please," she requests of her guide. "How many horses have tried to come in that way? Is it possible to die?" Morbid, but direct. Best to know this land’s dangers as well as its beauties, if she’s going to make a case to her brother about living here for an extended time.
