my mind's like a deadly disease

I had nothing to say And I'd get lost in the nothingness inside of me

The cold of his home was like an old friend, albeit a sometimes cruel one that taught you lesson after lesson with jarring pain of both a physical and mental nature. Herd members who froze, the sting of the wind, seclusion in storms. There was some much that had to be planned through for winter on Tinuvel, and Orkaan relished it. It gave his mind something useful to do, and was perhaps one of the reasons his family had thrived in the Arctic Arch, though that seemed like such a long time ago.

Harks twitched as he waited for the roan mare to respond. Though he had not meant to drag the name of her neighbor into it, he had never been good at holding his temper, and thus the thief stayed near the front of his mind, as he would until the tobiano brute dealt with him properly. Shamwari? Has he been causing trouble? I haven’t been in the Forest all that long, I don’t know him very well.” ”He had attempted to take one of my family from me, in the most despicable of ways.” Giving his crown a slight nod, he found himself at least partially relieved. Persephone was not in a close friendship with someone he disrespected so greatly, and that made their meeting easier to stomach. Although his thinking may have been different from some, the painted hellion felt a strong aversion and outrage, to thievery. It was spineless and spoke volumes of those who did it, Orkaan only stole from those whom held no honor, who he could never respect. Battle on the other hand was a real warrior’s way of leading. Face to face, no hidden nonsense.

With the change in subject, the slight smile returned to the brute’s maw, this one would not be a bad ally to have. She had a head on her shoulders and, though it had nothing to do with it, he couldn’t simply brush over the fact that she was indeed attractive. So many beautiful women out and about, and it seemed they all grown smarter and stronger in his time away from the islands.

”Asp, hmm.” He rolled the name over his tongue as if it were a poisoned bit of grass and then shook his head. ”Can’t say I’ve heard of him. Of course I’ve only recently returned to the islands myself. Of course if I catch wind of such a stallion I’d be more than happy to send a message along to you.” A single bob of his crown, sending a wisp of black tresses across the white mask of his face. ”I’d just be mindful of those in the Lagoon, they’ve already tried taking out someone from my herd, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.”
