Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

She tilts her head in confirmation of his classification. An explorer is as good a description for her as any other, although in her own mind she’d been thinking of herself as a wanderer. She has never found a genuine purpose for herself, hasn’t even considered one since all those years ago when she’d tried to look up her friend Aleksei on Tinuvel only to find that he’d disappeared.

Her blue ears flick not only to catch his words but also to keep the swarming bugs away. She still doesn’t know what language he’s using and she doesn’t think it’s that important that she know. She gets the gist – the words are similar enough. She wonders if this stallion is new to the islands; most current residents wouldn’t consider moving from island to island interesting.

Selenium takes him in again, this time adding his words and mannerisms to his appearance. He certainly appears more mature physically than emotionally, though his words suggest that he has had some interactions with females, and it must not have all been negative if he’s still acting like a flirty young guy.

She snaps out of her thoughts when she feels the stallion press closer. She shifts her weight and pulls her hindquarters away from him slightly, a light warning that no funny business will be tolerated at the moment. He certainly does have the cocky speech down, she thinks wryly, although the foreign words make it less impressive than it probably would be if she could understand it.

Given where he’s living, she doubts he’s faithful about anything but decides not to open that can of worms. He hasn’t made any move to try to keep her here, so she figures it’ll be in her best interest to stay on his good side, especially given that nobody else seems to have noticed that she’s here.

”Selenium,” she tells him, eyes looking in the direction he’s now facing. She isn’t really interested in going any deeper into the territory, mostly out of self-preservation, but she doesn’t want to be rude. ”Is there something more visually stimulating that would provide a better backdrop for conversation?” Her wit is seriously lacking but she feels the question is valid regardless.

He would obviously know the layout of the place better than she, but she can’t imagine there being anything but swampy marshland here or she would have heard about it at some point during her life.
