♡I was made for loving you♡

even though we may be hopeless hearts
just passing through

When you look behind Jaci’s baby blue eyes, you will not see a ferocious storm like you do when looking into the amber hued eyes of Orkaan. Her eyes are softer, more contemplative. There is a gentleness to them, and also an innocence. But, besides the kindness that reaches out from the windows to the soul, there is something else, there is a wild recklessness, a wanderlust, and strength. Her eyes reflect who she is. A girl who loved the world and had a heart of gold, but who also was wild and unpredictable, with the strength of her mountain lion-fighting grandmother.

She likes his laugh. Laughter perhaps was one of the best sounds that Jaci could hear. It was the sound of happiness, just like a smile was the physical embodiment of joy. His chuckle is deep and rumbling, so. unlike the tinkling sound of Jaci’s own laughter, like snow falling upon the earth. Yes, their laughter was different, but it was laughter all the same, and the perfect soundtrack to this wintery day. Her grin brighten at his words, he seemed to be just as eager to begin swimming as well.

As the pair swims, she gracefully brushes against him softly for a moment, her light colored coat mixing with dark patches on his pelt, reminding him that she was close at hand, earnestly following him onwards towards his home, and her new abode. She then falls back, following closely behind him, her heart racing with both exertion and sheer excitement at the mystery of Orkaan’s home, and what she would find when she arrived upon its shores.

Jaci continues paddling, dainty appendages simultaneously reaching out in front of her through the frigid water, and kicking out behind her, propelling her steadily forward. After a while, the water no longer feels cold, adjusting to the temperature, growing warm with the physical activity.

When hooves touch upon solid ground it is certainly a welcome relief. As he stands close to her, she presses closer to him. Her touch is not as light as it had been in the commons, though it still remains entirely innocent, free of lust, simply a physical touch between a mare and a stallion. The little songbird smiles as baby blue eyes widen as she peers around her new home.

Eyes go back to the large stallion as he begins to speak to her, welcoming her into his home, to be apart of his herd. It felt good to be apart of something again, in the time that she had wandered, it had filled her heart with joy, but she missed being apart of a group, she missed the camaraderie between her and others, she missed building long lasting relationships. All those that she had meet on the road had been fleeting, brief. She wanted the fulfillment of a deep friendship. He nudges her shoulder and Jaci moves her attention to where he was gesturing. Baby blues peer at the caverns before she turns her attention to the sun that was halfway down the horizon. As beautiful as a sunset was, Jaci can only think of what will follow.

She turns her eyes of blue, standing out int eh stark contrast of her pale coat. She smiles bashfully, not wishing to go against her new king’s words. She looks up to him through long, feminine lashes before she asks her question. “I would love to see the cavern, but,” she pauses for a moment, blinking once or twice. “Can we go see the moon tonight? I was to the stars sparkle not he fresh snow. I want you to come with me,” she says looking away, afraid her request may be viewed as silly. She knows he probably has many kingly duties to perform, but she hopes, maybe her new found friend would take her to the moon tonight.
