PERSEPHONE

Persephone paused in her brisk walk as she heard the sounds of someone approaching, and turned her head to see Bob emerging from behind a few of the nearby trees. She offered him a smile as she slowed to a halt and turned to face him properly.

“Hello Bob,” she greeted in return.

At his mention of Talya and her antics, she couldn’t help but chuckle slightly. His daughter was a character indeed, and one that she had spent quite some time with since the young girl seemed quite taken with her. Persephone didn’t mind it, however, Talya was entertaining to be around whenever she didn’t have business to attend to.

In fact, Persephone rather liked the feeling, although she wasn’t about to admit that.

“Perhaps,” she replied playfully, “but if she has today then I have yet to find out. I was just on my way to the Prairie, actually, to visit Shamwari. We have some business to discuss.”

She glanced in the direction of the neighbouring territory, where the light filtered through the trees more strongly as they began to thin. Although determined to have that conversation with Shamwari today, she was in no particular rush, and so she turned her gaze and her attention back to Bob.

“How have you been, Bob? I hope the Forest has been treating you right.”
