The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Mai
promise i'm gonna call you back in five

Should the lady say that Dierne had encountered changes as well? That from what Aindreas said, the entire pack had changed? She didn't know if that was right and again, could be used to someone else's advantage. Now probably wasn't the time to discuss the changes to her home when she didn't even really know the land very well herself, was it? Probably not. So she opted for the very vague choice of words. I don't really know the land right now, but there are some changes from what others say. vague. Very vague. So if this pack decided that they wanted a war between Dierne and Crith, neither would really know very much. It took all of Mai's being not to fidget at this point, she did shift upon her paws once or twice but at this point in their conversation; she felt like it was time to take her leave. Like she had her information and now was time to bolt. Go to tell Aindreas. But alas, she stayed put. Tensing her muscles here and there and keeping her eyes upon the teen, watching her body language closely. She didn't seem threatening but that meant nothing to Mai. Her parents didn't seem threatening and yet they abused her brother physically and herself mentally.

But you are right, Nike, for the lands have changed. The lands that are not occupied by packs have certainly changed. I was not here before the change; however, I can feel the presence of something like something changed these lands. the lady looked to the earth at that point to lift one paw and then the other to show she felt it through the earth to her paws. And more than that, something Nike didn't know and something Mai wouldn't mention in fear of it getting to Aindreas, she felt a pull towards him somewhere inside her. Like it was meant. Regardless of if he felt that way. It terrified her to even think about it because of her past with others and her past with her parents. She wasn't good with confrontation and never would be. That being said; she'd come this far. Why would she let it stop her now? She wouldn't let it stop her now. She would go back to Dierne after this and she would report it to Aindreas and tell him about the task she planned on doing to get the head nursery position. That was what she wanted. She smiled outwardly at the thoughts but quickly regained composure.

As for this place, she had her information, it had changed and while she didn't get everything about Crith, but that was alright. She didn't need everything about Crith, she just needed enough to report back to Aindreas with. With that, are there any questions you would like me to answer for you? About what the lands that aren't occupied by packs? I passed through a few on the way here.. they were quite different than what I usually encounter. A smile errupted from the girls kissers once more, looking right at the other girl and her plume swaying slightly. She was trying to be as friendly as possible, even though she was very much so out of her comfort zone. There wasn't much more to say or do unless this other vixen, Nike, kept up the conversation from here. Mai kinda hoped she would, but at the same time she would understand if she didn't. If she didn't then she would nod and continue her days trek back to her own home. Her own pack. Her safety net other than her brother. Dierne Hrof was a safe haven to her now. As was Aindreas, which other than him and Kane, she only knew Pepper and now Nike. She was off to a pretty good new start to her new life.
